I had no idea someone made this video inspired by one of the essays from my book, Enough. So cool!

On “You Make Loving Fun,” McVie sang about her affair with her band’s lighting director Curry Grant. The result is a lovely and tender ode to their short-lived romance, that makes for one of the few romantic songs on the album. To keep the peace with her still-husband at the time, however, she told John it was about their dog.

When I try to explain what Circus Juventas does, and that I do the rigging, I never feel like I can put it into words. While watching this video of highlights from this past summer’s show, keep in mind that almost all of the performers are under 18 and every piece of equipment they are using was set up by the rigging team of which I’m a proud member.

I’m all my heroes are dying years old. Sigh. RIP Fletch. This band remains an all time favorite. But, for a time in my life, it was absolutely life changing/saving.

Via my Dad, a fascinating look at Steve Jobs love of Japanese ceramic arts and how it helped to shape the products conceived under his second tenure at Apple.

My daughter put together a presentation for her 8th Grade Social Studies class. She interviewed my sister Patrice about the project to restore our family land. Came out great!
