What You Can Do For Me

Yesterday I asked if there was anything I could do for you. I a a few people ask in return if there was anything they could do for me. I thought I would share that here as well.

First of all, I write here every day. Every day, I face the fear and try to put ideas out into the ether with the hope that it will have meaning and value to someone else (perhaps even you). I write because I believe that words have the power to change the world. A little silly and idealistic, I know. But I still believe it. That said, I do know that, occasionally, something I write might land with someone in a way that makes a meaningful difference and, well, to them it might, in fact, be world changing. 1

But, here’s the thing, there may be someone out there that needs to be reading this stuff but is unaware of it. Therefore, I would really appreciate it if you share this with others. Let others know that I post here daily and that you think it is worth checking out. If it feels right, please share this site or my work on social networks, on your own blog, or tell a friend to check it out face to face. Especially if what I write here resonates with you, it likely will with others you know as well.

Secondly, if you really like the work I publish here daily, and you have not yet done so, I really would appreciate it if you purchased my books. As an independent writer, this really is a primary way of support. Most of my income comes from my writing and a significant part of that is through sales of my books. It not only helps support the work I do here but allows me to keep doing it which, I hope, is of some value to you.

Finally, I often put a free will donation blurb at the end of many of my posts. I like to think of this as a tip jar. If you enjoyed what you read, consider throwing a little bit my way. It does let me know it is being appreciated.

Regardless of any of the above, writers write to be read. You have already helped me in the greatest way possible by taking your time to do so now. Thank you.

  1. I could tick off a long list of writers and works that have done so for me. Therefore, I know it to be possible.
